Two Real Maternity Sessions — Start to Finish

What does a session actually look like?

Most photographers show you their twenty best images. This page does something different.

Below are two complete sessions — as they actually unfolded — from clients who were kind enough to let me share them in full. Different women, different styles, different moods. Browse both and you'll get a much more honest sense of what your own session could look like.

Session one — water portraits

Not every client wants these, but for those who do, they're among my favourite images to capture. We do them right at the end of the session — after all the other portraits are done — so your hair and make-up are perfect for everything else first.

Bring a towel. And your own gown if you have one you don't mind getting wet.

Session two — clean, minimal, classic

Shot in a studio using artistic lighting and simple backdrops. This client wanted just timeless maternity nudes — portraits she'd still love in twenty years.

If what you've seen here feels right, I'd love to hear from you.
