Maternity Photography with Fabrics, Lace & Drapes
As most of maternity clothing is pretty uninspiring or quite costly, I have found mums-to-be love to have a go at using either fabrics or drapes in their pregnancy photoshoot. They do accentuate their pregnant shape and as I am slightly obsessed with purchasing fabrics, you will find a rather large array of them in many colours and styles. There are soft silks which are prefect for flowing. Delicate white chiffon used mainly in the see-though maternity photography portraits or the white, soft cotton bandeau and skirt which is great at showing off your belly. My recent favourite must be the ornate French lace which makes your pregnancy portrait so elegant and sumptuous.
So do not despair if you don’t feel you haven’t got an extensive maternity wardrobe. Between the fabrics, dresses, tops and gowns I have, you are assured we will capture beautiful portraits of your pregnant shape.
Lastly, don’t forget that no clothing is needed for the maternity nudes - these are my most requested pregnancy portraits and I shoot them at 99% of my sessions.
