My approach to newborn photography is natural, relaxed, and full of genuine moments. Your session takes place in the comfort of your own home in London, where you and your baby can feel completely at ease.

Each newborn session is entirely baby-led, with plenty of time for feeding, cuddles, and settling whenever needed. Your baby’s safety and wellbeing are always my top priority, so there’s never any rush—just a calm, gentle experience for you all.

These early weeks pass so quickly, and a newborn photoshoot is a beautiful way to capture those tiny details and fleeting moments you’ll want to remember forever.

Being at home also helps everyone relax, allowing your baby’s personality to shine through naturally. It’s the perfect way to document those precious milestones—from first smiles and giggles to tummy time, sitting, and standing—as your little one grows.

When to Book Your Newborn Photo Shoot

The ideal time for your newborn photography session is within the first two to three weeks after birth. During this stage, babies are typically sleepier, naturally curled, and perfect for capturing those timeless, delicate newborn images.

As a London newborn photographer, I recommend booking your session during pregnancy—ideally at the beginning of your third trimester. This allows me to reserve space around your due date, and once your baby arrives, we simply confirm a suitable day. It’s a flexible, stress-free process designed to work around you and your baby.

If your little one has already arrived and is a little older, there’s no need to worry. I regularly photograph babies up to six weeks old, and each stage brings its own magic—whether your baby is peacefully sleepy or more alert, making eye contact and beginning to show their personality.

I bring everything needed to create beautiful, professional portraits — from studio lighting to soft blankets and a carefully prepared posing beanbag. While you relax, I’ll gently set up a mini studio space in your home.

The result? Timeless images with the same polished look as a studio session, but without the stress of travelling.

There’s no need to rush or go anywhere. Everything happens calmly, at your pace, in the comfort of your own home.
