Before the start of each pregnancy photoshoot I’ll ask to see how you would like your photographs to look. Some clients prefer to look joyous while others love to take the opportunity to bring out their inner Mona Lisa. I am here to guide you and of course you are welcome to have a selection of portraits with many different looks. Let’s have a fun and creative photo shoot with images which you will be wowed by.

Pregnancy is a momentous and special time in the life of any woman. Whether you’re simply looking to capture the essence of your transition to motherhood, or wish to proudly show off your pregnant body in all its glory, I’ll help you capture this milestone in exactly the way you’d like to remember it.
As a maternity photographer with over seventeen years of photographing mums-to-be in my London photography studio I aim to make each session a relaxed and highly professional experience. We will discuss the style of images you have envisaged for your pregnancy photography session and then turn your dream into a reality.

Family members and pets are very welcome to join in your maternity photo shoot.
I wholeheartedly encourage your partner participates for at least a few frames to capture this special time in your lives. I have many years experience of photographing people and even dads who dislike being photographed leave my studio with a smile: admitting they enjoyed the maternity photoshoot and had a good time. As a photographer I could ask for no more!

As an expectant mum, you are probably feeling a huge mix of emotions - excitement, anticipation and above all, the feeling of unconditional love for this new life growing within you.
As a professional portrait photographer, it’s my job to make you feel completely at ease and to enjoy every moment of your pregnancy photography session in my large photo studio. I am also great with dads-to-be too and ensure your session is a relaxed and fun experience. No stiff poses here!

It’s a great way to remember this special and exciting time in your life. I recommend any time after week 28 of your pregnancy as ideal time for your photo session. Or from week 24-28 if you are expecting twins.

London Maternity photoshoot - your guide.
BEFORE THE SESSION
I find a lot of mums-to-be prefer to rely on the many years of experience I have as a maternity photographer and trust I will capture the portraits they have dreamed of. I always encourage all my clients to have a chat with me as it’s important for me to find out a little about you. To find out about your expectations for your session and discover style of maternity photographs you have envisaged for your photo shoot.
As some bumps make a rather late appearance I do find myself shooting portraits as late as with just a few days before the birth of your baby. It’s never too late to have a pregnancy photography session!

My photography studio is located close to the centre of London at 92 Kew Road. TW9 2PQ. It's on right on the high street and only a five minute walk from Richmond Train Station.
I do not photograph in parks or on outdoor locations as most require permits plus have too many people and dogs in the background.

Not sure if to bring your family to your maternity shoot? Most mums-to-be prefer to have a few hours of peace and quiet to themselves hence you don't see too many family photographs on my website. It's seems dogs are a bit easier to control and happier to sit quietly after showing off their obedience skills. Either way, family members (furry ones too) are very welcome to join you in your photoshoot.

Before your photoshoot, we’ll discuss the style of pregnancy portraits you would love for me to capture for you.
Maternity Photography sessions last between one and a half to three hours. All depends on how many portraits you have in mind.
After the Session
Your stunning images will be ready to choose and select via a friendly Zoom call within 1 week of your session.
I am sure you’ll love seeing your portraits for the first time via a specialist programme which helps you narrow your favourites with great ease.
I am here to help you make image choices if you wish, and offer any guidance to ensure the ordering process is really straightforward for you. We will discuss airbrushing as well as any frames, albums or folios you might want to display your maternity or newborn portraits in.

Yes, maternity photoshoot collections start from 3 images and go up to 50 (or more).
Newborn photography packages start at 10 images.
Your beautiful photographs will be professionally retouched and presented as digital portraits in colour, as well as in black and white. They will be in split into 2 folder, one with high resolution maternity images (great for printing) and the other in low resolution (perfect for sending via emails or for social network sites).

Yes, I do offer payment plans with clients often contacting me a few months in advance of their maternity photography session to set it up.

Images from your photo shoot will be fully retouched within a week after your viewing and ordering appointment. As I use professional retouchers to airbrush your photographs it is a fast and a straight forward process.

Apart from loving the end result, I would say that the photoshoot itself is the most exciting part of your experience. For a lot of women being pregnant is a once in a lifetime event.
Having your photographs taken in a professional photography studio is one of those bucket list experiences to tick off your list.
The excitement of going behind the scenes, the magic of studio lighting, seeing a professional camera (yes they are BIG) rather than snapping photos on your phone, having your photographs taken by a photographer who specialises in maternity portraits and has over fifteen years experience, all add up to you having a fabulous and enjoyable time during your session.

WHAT TO WEAR FOR YOUR PREGNANCY PHOTOSHOOT
Of course nothing is required for the most popular maternity portrait I shoot in my studio. You may have guessed it's a maternity nude!
If you are not keen on baring all, then do bring something that accentuates your bump.Of course I do have a full client wardrobe in my photography studio. It includes maternity photoshoot dresses, white Hawes & Curtis shirts from famous Jermyn Street tailors (perfect with jeans of just underwear), crop tops and even black underwear in case you forget to bring some with you. And yes, you do take it home with you!
Just bring yourself and let me work my magic on you.

Yes and if fact I prefer to photograph my clients on weekends are they tend to be a lot more relaxed. You can choose to have a session in the morning or in the afternoon. Late afternoon photoshoots are also available if it suits you better.

I do recommend a few great salons with are close to my studio. Both are very experienced and make you look stunning. I always recommend you have a clear idea of the look you are after to ensure the end result is how you imagined it to be.
Of course a lot mums-to-be either add just a tiny amount of make-up or even none at all. I want you to feel happy and comfortable during your photoshoot so go with what makes you look and feel like the real you.

When I was browsing online in a pool of many London Maternity Photographers Nemi Miller stood out immediately due to her unique (and variety types) of photos. Prior session, we communicated frequently. Based on the type of image I'd like to take (modern/chic), she provided advice on outfits and suitable settings. She also extended the session time to ensure I had all types of images I intended to achieve (and it was a lot!). She was also extremely patient over the "photo-picking" session where I decided which ones are the "final ones". She gave really valuable advice and not pushing for me to get more at all.

U can easily drive and parking is near by. She got plenty of dresses at her studio. Brilliant choice of colours. Nemi is very friendly and she listens to special details than we wanted. She was able to put us at ease straight away in her comfortable studio and was able to capture every single picture I asked her, with tons of different outfits (some borrowed from her as she has an extensive collection, and some taken from home). I thought my husband was going to be shy seeing me posing naked, instead he loved the session and helped with the poses, including positioning the fan for hair effect! My husband enjoyed also some dressed pictures together, Nemi was able to put us both in amazing poses.
