What to Expect During Your Photoshoot
Before your session, we’ll talk through the portraits you’re drawn to, what you might wear and any ideas you’d love to explore. Whether you prefer nude, semi-nude or clothed portraits, we’ll plan a session around your preferences and what feels comfortable for you.
Your photoshoot will take place at a studio in Bishopston, Bristol. You don’t need modelling experience or to arrive knowing how to pose. I’ll guide you throughout, from where to place your hands to small changes in posture, giving you time to settle in and enjoy being photographed.
With carefully considered lighting and an artistic approach, we’ll create elegant portraits that celebrate your pregnancy. These are photographs to enjoy now and, in years to come, share with your child as a glimpse of the time before you met.
When to Book Your Maternity Photoshoot
Maternity sessions are usually best planned for around 28–34 weeks, when your bump has a lovely shape and you still feel comfortable enough to enjoy being photographed.
Every pregnancy is different, so we’ll choose a time that feels right for you. If you’re expecting twins, we can discuss an earlier session. And if you’re already further along, please get in touch—there may still be time to arrange your portraits.
You’re welcome to enquire before you reach this stage. Share your due date, and we’ll plan a suitable session date together.

This is your time to celebrate your bump. I’ll gently guide you throughout your session, helping you feel comfortable and capturing beautiful portraits of this special chapter.

Choose Your Favourite Portraits
A few days after your session, we’ll meet via Microsoft Teams to view your photographs together. You can choose your favourite images at your own pace, with me on hand to offer guidance whenever you need it.

Receive Your Finished Portraits
After placing your order, you’ll receive your digital portraits within a week. Printed artwork will be ready in around 30 days, a beautiful keepsake of your journey into motherhood.

Every collection includes a personalised maternity photoshoot with Nemi Miller in a professional Bristol studio. With over 20 years of experience photographing expectant mothers, Nemi combines flattering, artistic studio lighting with gentle posing guidance to create portraits that feel personal to you.

A pre-session discussion about your ideas, preferences and what to bring.
Around 1½–2 hours in the studio, with time to settle in and explore different looks without feeling rushed.
Personal guidance throughout, whether you choose clothed, semi-nude or nude portraits.
A private Microsoft Teams viewing a few days later, where you can choose your favourite photographs, with help whenever you need it.

Where do Bristol sessions take place?
Bristol sessions take place at a studio in Bishopston, accessed via the rear alleyway of 285b Gloucester Road, Bristol, BS7 8NY.
Every collection includes a pre-session discussion, your 1½–2-hour Bristol studio photoshoot with Nemi Miller, personal posing guidance and a private Microsoft Teams viewing to choose your favourite portraits.
Your chosen images are professionally retouched to your preferences and supplied in both colour and black and white, with high-resolution files for printing and smaller versions for your phone and sharing.
Collections start at £395, including your studio session and five finished digital portraits. Printed artwork is available separately.
What is included in my maternity photography collection?
Can my partner or other children be in the photographs?
Yes. Partners, children and even family dogs are very welcome, with no additional charge.
Can I include nude or semi-nude portraits?
Absolutely. Nude and semi-nude maternity portraits are a specialism of mine, and you’re welcome to include them in your session. We can use soft lighting, flowing fabrics and carefully guided poses to create elegant, artistic photographs.
When do I choose and receive my finished photographs?
We’ll meet via Microsoft Teams, where I’ll share my screen and group similar images together to make comparing them and choosing your favourites easier. This can take place as soon as 24 hours after your session.
