Maeva’s Maternity Photoshoot for Made in Chelsea
It was very exciting to photograph Maeva D'Ascanio’s maternity portraits as part of an episode for ‘Made in Chelsea’. All the episodes are filmed a number of months in advance and as there were a total of 12 members of cast and crew, a much larger studio was required to fit us all in. It’s always fun to shoot in new places and I really enjoyed the facilities at Jet Studios in Fulham. What a fantastic space with a mezzanine and separate make-up room! Although I cannot imagine how long it would take to warm it up in the winter! At the time we had a very opposite problem – there was a heat wave and am I glad I brought my industrial fan with me - it came in very useful and helped Maeva keep a bit cooler. Pregnant ladies generally feel much hotter due to hormonal changes and an increase in blood supply to the skin. Fab in the colder months but can be a bit of a struggle in the hot summer.

Seeing the clip from our photoshoot was fun, as well as a bit embarrassing at the same time. Most photographers prefer to be behind the camera but thankfully it was all about Maeva and I was delighted to have been chosen to capture her maternity portraits.
